Transfer 5 Week 1

Hello everybody! Sorry last week i never got to email much so this

ones going to be kinda long but that's ok, i guess it will just take

you a little longer to scroll to the pictures at the bottom... hahah

nah i hope there are some of you that read these, im over hear in

Sendai sharing this message with the people here, but on mondays i

have this short time to also share it with all of you. I just want you

guys to know that you are great, and I really appreciate all of your

love and support!

Anyways before i get into Easter i wanted to share a short really

awesome experience! My family has been hosting Japanese exchange

students since i have left on my mission and probably about a month

ago there were two students from Sendai that were staying with my

family. They were able to learn a little about the church and our

message (atta way family doing missionary work! Haha) they went to the

visitor center in Laie and had a great experience there. Anyways they

left and returned to Sendai and after my mom emailed me about them and

i recieved their contact info from the mission home i was able to

contact both of them! Yushun is currently meeting with the

missionaries in the nagamachi area (right next to mine so hopefully in

the future i get to meet him maybe!).  So yea that was way awesome and

was a testimony to me that there are people here in japan who are

prepared and who are searching for truth!

Also this past week we were able to meet 3 times with our

investigator Kojima and we set a baptism date for him next month! We

hope to meet with him a lot this week too! As Elder Wilson and I have

put more effort and time into planning, the lessons run so much more

smoothly, spirit has been so much stronger, and I feel as though I am

given the words that I should say. Our last lesson with him was one of

the best lessons of my mission.

Elder Marshall left us to go to Morioka and we really miss that guy

but we know he's gonna do great back in my last zone! Payne Choro the

new Elder in our apartment is great, his first language is Japanese

and he's just a really funny awesome dude haha. Ok thats all the

updates for this week!

But anyways, for all of you in America, today is Easter! Today we

celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, his victory over death. On

LDS.org or mormon.org you can watch a new Easter video that just came

out a couple weeks ago titled "Prince of Peace". It is such a powerful

video! The Prince of Peace is one of the many names we have for Jesus

Christ. This Easter I hope that you all enjoy the easter egg hunts,

family gatherings, yummy foods, and all those good things; but I

encourage you all throughout those things to remember the reason we

celebrate Easter; remember Jesus Christ.

He came here to earth to teach us and show us the way back to God our

Heavenly Father, to suffer and pay the price for not only our sins,

but all our pains, sickness, and sorrow. He suffered in the Garden of

Gethsemane and after being falsely accused, was scourged and

crucified. He gave up his life freely and took it up again on the

third day. Because He lived again, so will we! By following our Savior

and His teachings we can find true long-lasting peace, comfort, and

happiness. Please take time this Easter Sunday to remember Christ and

learn of Him. I know that the fullness of Jesus Christ's gospel has

been restored, and through His living prophet He leads and guides His

church. I want you all to know that I know Jesus Christ lives, that He

is my savior and yours; and that by turning to Him and relying on His

grace we can be forgiven, cleansed, changed, and ultimately we can

become the sons and daughters of God we were destined to become. Have

a great Easter everyone!
